El alto funcionario saharaui presentó a las Panamanian diplomatic highest authorities a report on the current status of negotiations sponsored by the United Nations solution to the conflict in Western Sahara seeking independence.
Minister the Saharawi Republic said that his government considers the appointment of a new envoy of UN Secretary General, U.S. Ambassador Christopher Ross, as a positive that can pave the way for finding a final solution.
First Vice President and Foreign Minister said that Panama will always be willing to cooperate in finding a just and permanent solution for the best interests of the Sahrawi people.
The Saharawi Minister was accompanied by the charge d'affaires at the embassy in Panama, Minister Counsellor, Hadi Laroussi.
For the Chancellery of the Republic also participated in the meeting Nils Casto, senior vice president and consultant to the chancellor of the Republic and José de Jesús Martínez González, Minister Counsellor and Director of the Department of Africa and the Middle East.
